How I approach healing

Chanaya Hancock, Reiki Master

So if you don’t know by now, my name is Chanaya. Hi! 🤗

It’s my goal to make energy healing approachable and accessible to everyone, especially those who might not have thought it was “for them” in the past.

Maybe you think energy healing is too woo-woo and, therefore, not for you.

Or maybe you are incredibly sensitive to energy and you’ve had a not-so-positive experience with an energy healer in the past.

Maybe you’re way too logical and don’t think there is proof that any of this works…so why waste your time on something that is not backed by Western science.

No worries! I’m here for you. I see you. I was you. I got you.

Most importantly, I understand where you’re coming from, and that’s why I created my practice. I think YOU deserve access to energy healing.

I think YOU deserve access to energy healing.

People

Here at Light into You, my approach to energy healing is quite gentle but powerful, making it ideal for those who are new to the idea of energy healing or those who are very sensitive to energy work.

I prefer to call myself an energy nurturer, instead of an energy healer, because I feel that is more descriptive of my process. I nurture and balance the flow of energy through your body so that you can feel better physically, mentally, and emotionally.

As the description suggests, this is not a forceful balancing. It is more of a conversation that I have with your energetic body. As I come across areas that might need some attention, this is where the conversation comes in. I see if this area is still serving a purpose for you, if you’re ready to let it go, etc. These are not my decisions, so I ask your energetic body. If you are ready to release it / balance it, then that’s what we do. Otherwise, I thank it for the purpose it is serving and move on. I am there to facilitate healing, not to force it.

I am here to facilitate healing, not force it.

Animals

I have a similar gentle approach to animals. This is because I follow Kathleen Prasad’s Let Animals Lead® method, which is one of the most gentle forms of healing I have found.

It essentially allows the animal to decide how much healing it would like to receive and for how long. I hold the space for at least 30 minutes, but if they are still active, I will go as long as 60 minutes.

I love this approach because it gives our animal friends autonomy over their healing and shows how much we respect them and their ability to understand what they need.

Again, I am there to facilitate healing, not to force it.
